Following her four month check-up this week, we started Emelia on her menu of new foods. Her first "go" was oatmeal. She definitely wasn't sure what to do with it the first night...
...but seemed to be enjoying it by the end of the bowl.
The next two days of oatmeal went okay. We don't think she is totally nuts about it, though maybe it is the spoon and bowl she is not crazy over. After the mess made on night one, we decided it was time to set-up the high chair. She looks a little dejected the first time sitting in her feeding throne... we call this photo "the last supper" (check out the pitiful look on her face).
Tonight, she got to move onto sweet potatoes. We got a lot of smiles at first... but again, not so thrilled by the end of the meal. After two more days, she'll get to try carrots and squash; hopefully she'll get the hang of it soon.
